Office sessions are administered with the client fully clothed on a massage table unless the session is combined with massage. We recommend removing any jewelry before table work, as metal can change the quality of energy flow throughout the body.
A typical session begins with the client lying on the table as the therapist applies light touch using a series of hand positions working from the head to the feet. About midway through the session the client will be asked to turn over and the session will resume down the back of the body. After the session is complete, the therapist will meet with the client afterward to discuss the session, answer any questions and to set up a follow up appointment.
Everyone experiences Reiki differently, and an individual’s experience of Reiki can vary from session to session as well. The most common experiences include deep relaxation, sleepiness, tingling sensation, or warmth.
